      Facebook / UX Lead and Product Design Manager

       

      Gülay joined Facebook as a Product Design Manager and UX Lead on Facebook Newsfeed in February 2019, where she is working with her team to create excellent experiences that build social value and connection.
       

      Prior to Facebook, she spent 8yrs at Google leading teams on Mobile Ads, Search, Identity, Hangouts, with the last 4 of those years as a UX Design Manager on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on cross-platform user experience design and strategy. Gülay’s passion lies in the cross-section of responsible innovation and service design in all facets of user experience creation.
       

      She cares deeply about the consequences of technological advances and works to establish UX as a key player and advocate to society in the end to end product lifecycle.

      Kevin Lee

      eBay Korea / Chief Product Officer

      Previously, Visa / Executive Director & VP, Head of Design EMEA

       

      Kevin Lee, Chief Product Officer at eBay Korea, is responsible for the overall vision and strategy of products and services for Korea’s largest e-commerce company operating under Gmarket, Auction, and G9. In this role, Kevin oversees the team of design, product, and engineering to drive innovation initiatives and deliver great products to extend the market leadership.

       

      Previously, Kevin was Vice President and Head of Design at Visa, Inc, responsible for setting the vision to help design digital products and Visa’s design system has been recognized by Fast Company for 2017 Innovation by Design Awards. Prior to Visa, Kevin led the design studio at Samsung responsible for the overall product strategy and launch of Gear Fit. Kevin was also responsible for the global design team at eBay and Paypal, as well as Whirlpool Corporation designing and launching consumer products with CES awards. Before Whirlpool, Kevin led a global team at GE Healthcare launching Vscan where it was named by TIME magazine as The 50 Best Inventions of 2009.

      Dr. Florian Lachner

      Florian is an engineer by training who found his passion for UX research while pursuing his doctoral degree in Human-Computer Interaction. During his academic work, he investigated cross-cultural aspects and mixed method approaches for UX design. Now, he works as a UX researcher at Google in the fields of privacy and security. In addition, he volunteers as a UX advisor for startups from the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM), an institution from the TU Munich and the LMU Munich.

      Masahiro Inoue

      Previously, Toshiba Design Center / General Manager

       

      Masahiro Inoue is a professor of Nagoya Institute of Technology. He has over 30 years of experience as a product designer at Toshiba and won many Good Design Awards. Now, while teaching Products and UX design to students at the Institute, he is promoting many joint developments with local companies. He is involved in the development of designs that incorporate UX as much as possible.

      Sudesh T brings with him almost 20 years of experience specialising in customer experience, process efficiencies, customer innovation, AI and change management across multiple industries including telecommunications, consumer products, manufacturing, banking as well as more recently insurance, through his tenures with HSBC and Bank of America Merrill Lynch before joining AXA Hong Kong six years ago. He is a true believer and advocate of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and with customers and recently winning the 2019 LGBT+ Ally Award. He is actively working with the organisation to support differently abled, LGBT, ethnic minorities, gender and multi-generational employees.

      Ben Sauer

      Babylon Health / Director of Product

       

      Ben Sauer is Product Director at Babylon health, and formerly worked at Clearleft. He has worked with organisations like the BBC, Pearson, Tesco, and TCS to raise their design and product game.

       

      He has been speaking about and training people on the topic of design, and particularly voice UI for several years; particularly in how to rapidly design conversational experiences. Teams at Amazon and the BBC use his methods, and through O'Reilly, he has trained folks at NASA. He has also spent many hours at home removing the ridiculous things that his kids have added to Alexa’s shopping list.

      Ilker Yengin (Ph.D.) inspires design strategy in creating high quality, usable and beautiful products that users love. With his strong background in psychology, cognitive science, and human-computer interaction, Yengin supports the organization to go beyond the surface meaning by creating a deeper picture of the users’ behavior.
       

      Yengin’s research empowers the design with a holistic view of users and ensures teams creates the right product. He amplifies the voice of the user across the organizations with actionable data-driven insights.
       

      Yengin mentors and grows UX researchers that support business units to discover and define the user experience across all digital properties. His teams reduce after launch surprises that negatively affect the users.
       

      He has over 10 years of experience at government organizations such as A*STAR as well as start-ups like Grab and Ola. Currently, he is the directing the design research in Singtel.
